Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. seeks a Resource Geologist for its Geraldton, Ontario operation. This role focuses on developing short-term production models and grade control block models, with emphasis on mineral resource estimation and model updates.

You will work with Geology, Engineering, Exploration and Operations teams to support planning, reconciliation, and continuous improvement in mine production and processing metrics.

Qualifications

• 5 years related work experience, preferably with an open pit gold mining environment.
• Experience in block modeling and resource estimation practices.
• Exposure to database management, QA/QC and geological modeling.
• Prior production experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop mineral resource block model estimates and short-term production models using Leapfrog, Datamine and other modeling software.
• Update lithology, grade wireframes and block models.
• Audit and perform QA/QC on drill hole and geological databases.
• Create reliable geologic models for mining and processing needs.
• Provide reconciliations, dilution estimates, grade forecasting and grade blending.
• Participate in mine planning with Geology, Engineering, Exploration and Operations.
