Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. at Musselwhite Mine in Northwestern Ontario invites applications for a Production Geologist. You will support underground grade control, mapping, drilling programs and reporting, reporting to the Senior Production Geologist.

Requirements include a 4-year B.Sc. in Geology (or equivalent with 2–5 years experience), knowledge of Deswik or Acquire a plus, and strong communication and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology or equivalent with 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Geo designation or working toward it.
• Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire is an asset.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective grade control of the underground mine.
• Perform sampling and mapping of underground headings and reporting.
• Liaise with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize grade control and operations.
• Provide information for daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
• Interpret geological data and model deposits.
• Design and manage delineation drilling programs.
• Log diamond drill core as required.

Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Production Geologist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Production Geologist.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide effective grade control of the underground mine
• Perform sampling and mapping of underground headings and associated reporting
• Liaise with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize grade control and operational efficiency
• Provide information for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Perform interpretation and modeling of lithology and mineralogy
• Design and manage delineation drilling programs
• Interpret geological data and model deposits
• Log diamond drill core as required

Education And Experience

• 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent 2 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Geo, or working towards designation
• Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire software’s is an asset
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation)
• Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 55 lbs
• Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment

Working Conditions

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

Compensation

• The salary range for this position is CAD $105,000 - $117,500 per year, depending on skills, experience, and

for this position is 10% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance.

Qualifications.

• This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual short term incentive program. The target annual bonus
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer
• contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
