Job summary

W̱SÁNEĆ School Board is seeking a Resource Development/Artist/Outreach Coordinator to develop SENĆOŦEN language-based materials for classrooms and homes. You will work with the SȾÁ,SEN team and immersion teachers to prepare resources and ensure they are accessible online.

You will create take-home kits and partner with parents and community members to infuse SENĆOŦEN into daily life, working independently as needed while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop SENĆOŦEN language-based materials and resources for classrooms and homes.
• Collaborate with SENĆOŦEN Immersion teachers and the programming team to publish materials on the website and digital channels.
• Create take-home kits and engage parents and community to infuse SENĆOŦEN into W̱SÁNEĆ homes.
• Work independently at times while remaining within a team environment.

SUMMARY

Work with SȾÁ¸SEN team in the development of SENĆOŦEN language-based materials and resources to be distributed (in paper and electronic form) to classrooms and into W̱SÁNEĆ homes.

SCOPE

Work under the guidance of SȾÁ,SEN team and SENĆOŦEN Immersion teachers in reaching LENOṈET Program needs. Work preparing materials and resources for SENĆOŦEN outreach and immersion classrooms and W̱SÁNEĆ homes. Work with programmer to include materials on website and other digital means. Create take home kits and work with parents and community to infuse SENĆOŦEN into W̱SÁNEĆ homes. To work independently at times and be self-motivated within a team environment.

HOURS OF WORK

7 hrs per day based on a schedule to be determined in accordance with the operational needs of the W̱SÁNEĆ School Board.
