Job summary

Niagara Casinos is seeking a Conference Specialist to join the Resort Sales & Conference Services Team in Niagara Falls. You will partner with clients to plan, coordinate, and communicate all event requirements, ensuring seamless execution of meetings, conventions, and special events while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

  • College diploma or university degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in conference services, event planning, hospitality, or related customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Delphi/Amadeus or similar event management software.
  • CMP designation is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and operational departments throughout planning and execution of events.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to determine event objectives, budgets, and all other event requirements.
  • Develop relationships with meeting and event planners to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Design detailed event plans, including timelines, menus, room setups, and logistics for various events.
  • Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accurate communication and flawless execution.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Banquets, A/V Production, Hotel, Culinary) for seamless events.
  • Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders, change logs, and run BEO meetings with teams.
  • Support revenue generation through event planning, upselling, and client service.
  • Manage multiple events, competing priorities, and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Conduct site inspections, tours, and pre-conference meetings to confirm requirements.
  • Carry out post-event evaluations and client feedback discussions for continuous improvement.
  • Review final program billing for accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist sales initiatives to maintain business levels and cultivate new opportunities.
  • Adhere to compliance and workplace policies, AGCO directives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Conference Specialist

Full Time Salary Range $52,560 to $62,415 per annum
Placement within the hiring range is based on skills and experience.

The Conference Specialist plays a key role within the Resort Sales & Conference Services Team, partnering with internal and external clients to plan, coordinate and communicate all event requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of meetings, conventions, and special events while delivering an exceptional client and guest experience. Job responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and operational departments throughout the planning and execution of events.

  • Collaborating with internal and external clients to determine event objectives, budgets, and all other event requirements.

  • Developing relationships with meeting and event planners to exceed expectations and deliver amazing guest experiences.

  • Designing detailed event plans, including timelines, menus, room setups, and logistical requirements for corporate and association conventions, internal meetings, and concert riders.

  • Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders to ensure accurate communication and flawless execution of all event requirements.

  • Playing a key role working with other internal departments (Banquets, A/V Production, Hotel, Culinary etc.)

  • Manage the preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders, change logs, and running BEO Meetings with internal teams.

  • Support revenue generation objectives through effective event planning, upselling, and exceptional client service.

  • Ability to manage multiple events, competing priorities, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced event environment.

  • Conduct site inspections, site tours, and pre-conference meetings to confirm event requirements and ensure operational readiness.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations and client feedback discussions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Review and coordinate final program billing to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Support sales initiatives as required to maintain business levels, retain existing clients, and cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Adhering to compliance and workplace policies, internal control procedures, and AGCO directives.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Ideal candidate


  • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent work experience, with preference given to Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in conference services, event planning, hospitality, or a related customer-focused environment.

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point required.

  • Experience using Delphi/Amadeus or similar event management software preferred.

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation considered a strong asset.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
