Job summary

Sunshine Village Corporation seeks a Media & FAM Coordinator to showcase the resort to guests, media, influencers, and community partners. The role blends event coordination with public relations to reflect the brand standards across communications and experiences.

You will plan and host familiarization tours, coordinate public events, support content creation, and manage media relations while ensuring safety and professional guest service in a remote alpine setting.

Qualifications

• Expert-level skiing or snowboarding required; competency test.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to build media, influencer, and community relationships.
• Flexible with schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Experience in media relations or public relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Showcase the resort to guests, media, influencers, and partners; coordinate tours and events.
• Plan and host familiarization (FAM) tours and on/off-site public events.
• Coordinate visiting media, influencers, athletes, and film crews for on-site experiences.
• Maintain relationships with journalists and editors to generate coverage.
• Assist with story pitches highlighting resort news and seasonal offerings.
• Track media coverage and prepare regular media reports.
• Oversee event setup/tear-down and ensure safety and branding.
• Coordinate talent/influencers for events and content projects.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences during tours and events with safety and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and waiver policies.
• Maintain records of costs related to media, FAM tours, and events.
• Communicate pre-visit and post-visit follow-ups with media and partners.
