Job summary

Mainstreet Equity Corporation in Surrey, BC, is seeking an Area Manager to oversee daily operations, maintenance and administration of assigned location(s). You will supervise building staff and ensure budgets and resident satisfaction align with company policies.

The role reports to the Regional Manager and requires coordinating staff, managing lease documentation, rent collection and adherence to policies, with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferably 2+ years as a Resident Manager.
• Excellent communication, organizational and listening skills.
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act is an asset.
• Working knowledge of labor and human rights legislation is an asset.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must successfully complete a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Manager in portfolio apartment management.
• Ensure the investment portfolio operates safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate and guide staff in day-to-day responsibilities.
• Assist in hiring, training and supervision of personnel.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets.
• Support the Regional Manager in performance evaluations.
