This hands-on role covers building operations, leasing, tenancy administration, and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential building operations, leasing, or property management.
  • Experience supporting resident relations and rent collection.
  • Working knowledge of BC's Residential Tenancy Act.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance or coordinate vendor support.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with property management or CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive resident relationships and respond promptly to questions.
  • Deliver a consistent resident experience from inquiry to move-out.
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers.
  • Monitor resident accounts and assist with rent collection.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks or coordinate repairs.
  • Support regular building inspections and reporting.
  • Assist with marketing of available homes to maintain occupancy.
  • Maintain tenancy records and internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with BC's Residential Tenancy Act.
  • Provide operational updates to the Resident Manager and head office.

Pacific Cove Properties is a BC-owned and operated property management and development company providing rental accommodation to almost 3,000 families and individuals in communities throughout British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan.

We are looking for an Assistant Community Manager to join the on-site team at Solero, a new purpose-built rental community in Surrey. Learn more at soleroliving.com.

Working closely with the Resident Manager, you will help keep the community running smoothly while delivering a consistent, responsive experience for residents. This hands-on role brings together building operations, resident relations, leasing, and tenancy administration within a large, professionally managed rental community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive resident relationships and respond promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, and day-to-day issues
  • Deliver a consistent resident experience throughout the tenancy, from initial inquiry and move-in through to move-out
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers
  • Monitor resident accounts, support rent collection processes, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks and coordinate repairs with vendors as needed
  • Participate in regular building inspections and prepare required reports
  • Respond to rental inquiries, conduct suite showings, and support the marketing of available homes to help maintain occupancy
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenancy records, documentation, and internal systems
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with company standards and BC's Residential Tenancy Act
  • Provide regular operational updates and reporting to the Resident Manager and head office
What You Bring
  • Experience in residential building operations, leasing, property management, or a related customer-facing environment
  • Experience supporting resident relations, rent collection, and day-to-day building operations
  • Working knowledge of BC's Residential Tenancy Act
  • Ability to complete minor maintenance tasks and identify when vendor support is required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling resident matters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with property management or CRM systems is considered an asset
