Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a caring and reliable Residential Caregiver to provide essential support within a residential facility in Kimberley. You will assist residents with daily living activities, offer companionship, and contribute to a safe, comfortable environment.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, coordinate with nursing staff, report changes in residents' health, and help maintain high standards of care in the Kimberley community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver, preferably in a residential or home care setting.
• A certificate in Caregiving or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic health needs and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Prepare and serve meals, and assist residents with eating as required.
• Monitor residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff or supervisors.
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote their emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
