Sienna Senior Living in Waterloo is recruiting a Resident Engagement Manager to lead programs that enhance resident well-being and community involvement. You will oversee the department’s budget and supervise a dedicated team, delivering high‑quality services that align with our purpose‑driven culture.

The role requires experience in programs for seniors, a supervisory background, and certifications (CPR/First Aid, Smart Serve) while promoting a welcoming, inclusive environment across residents

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in aging and wellness or related field.
• Experience developing programs for seniors in relevant settings.
• Management or supervisory experience (1+ year).
• CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to obtain special class if required.
• Willingness to obtain Smart Serve/Serving It Right.
• Proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with Zoom/Teams.

Responsibilities

• Enhance resident well-being, autonomy, and participation in community life.
• Evaluate and enhance programs to increase resident involvement.
• Ensure team training and mandatory certifications are completed.
• Lead the welcome program for new residents and assist with integration.
• Build partnerships with local entities, vendors, and contractors.
• Document discussions during town hall and resident council meetings.
• Create and distribute monthly events schedule and resident newsletters.
• Develop programs aligned with brand standards and guidelines.
• Grow and oversee a dynamic volunteer program, including internships.
