Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Nutrition Manager to lead culinary operations within a long‑term care home in Canada. You will guide a team to provide person‑centered dining experiences that promote residents’ wellbeing and quality of life, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and key stakeholders to fulfill Extendicare’s mission to provide care wherever residents call home.

Qualifications

• Ontario-specific CSNM or RD credential required.
• Food Safety Handler's Certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years dietary experience and 1 year leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustained support and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Achieve resident satisfaction and employee engagement targets.
• Manage residents' dietary plans and personalized menus.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure care plan compliance.
• Ensure infection prevention and food safety guidelines are followed.
• Lead and mentor dietary staff, in a unionized environment.
• Maintain budget and vendor/community partnerships.
