Job summary

Extendicare Kingston, Ontario is seeking a part-time Guest Attendant to support residents with daily living activities, companionship, and mobility assistance. You will work under the direction of clinical leadership, ensuring care plans are followed and residents’ dignity and safety are prioritized.

Ideal candidates demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-focused long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent in progress.
• Ability to perform personal care tasks and assist residents as per plan of care.
• Must provide Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong empathy and patience; excellent communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plan of care as directed by supervisor.
• Provide one-to-one care and companionship to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility as needed.
• Support safe lifts, transfers, and ambulation for residents.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report concerns promptly.
