120 Veterinary Road, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, S7N 5E3

Full-time position, available until May 16, 2025

Description

The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO), Canada’s Centre for Pandemic Research, is a world leader in infectious disease research and vaccine development for humans and animals. Located at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada, VIDO features one of the largest and most advanced containment level 3 facilities globally. We are expanding to include containment level 4 capacity, a GMP vaccine manufacturing facility, and a new animal housing facility. Our vision is to study emerging diseases in any animal model, embracing a One Health approach to prevent infectious diseases in humans and animals.

Our work combines virology, animal models, and systems biology to understand infection responses and protection mechanisms.

We are recruiting a technician to support our research. Reporting to Dr. Rasmussen, the candidate will be crucial for lab operations, research execution, resource management, and data documentation. The role involves working in high containment environments and may require weekend work.
