Job summary

Chinova Bioworks in Fredericton, NB is seeking a Research Scientist for Product Development & Innovation to advance natural ingredient solutions from concept to market. This role focuses on designing experiments, interpreting data, and translating findings into practical product opportunities.

The position involves working at the intersection of chemistry, biochemistry, and food science to optimize formulations, validate technologies, and contribute to Chinova's mission of reducing food waste

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a laboratory or R&D environment and strong understanding of experimental design and scientific methodology.
• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical solutions.
• Experience in product development, formulation, food science, natural ingredients, microbiology, or applied research is an asset.
• Strong scientific communication, attention to detail, and documentation of research findings.
• Curious, collaborative, and innovative mindset with ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute rigorous experiments to advance new products, applications, and technologies.
• Apply scientific thinking to optimize formulations and turn ideas into solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to move projects from concept to commercialization.
• Analyze data and clearly document research findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
