Job summary

Stream-Flo Industries in Edmonton is seeking a lab technician to support R&D testing, assemble and disassemble test equipment, and operate data acquisition systems.

You will document observations, prepare equipment, and communicate progress with the lab team and requesters. A high school diploma and hands-on skills with lab instrumentation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Familiarity with Stream-Flo equipment such as valves and wellheads.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and electronic instruments (e.g., pressure transducers).
• Knowledge of high-pressure plumbing and control systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-test, test, and post-test activities in the lab.
• Execute testing based on test procedures.
• Take pre- and post-test photos, measurements, and equipment prep.
• Assemble and disassemble test setups.
• Set up instrumentation for testing.
• Operate data acquisition, control, and lab equipment.
• Assist with R&D inventory management.
• Communicate progress with R&D team and test requesters.
• Contribute to JHA development and pre-test meetings.
• Contribute to R&D process improvements.

Job description

The primary responsibility include but are not limited to assembly and disassembly of test equipment per procedure and JHA, set up a wide range of instrumentation, conduct R & D tests per procedure, communicate with test requesters and internal lab team members, take effective test notes, operation of LabView based data acquisition and control systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge and experience with Stream-Flo equipment – valves, wellheads, SSS, etc.
• Knowledge of data acquisition systems and electronic instruments (such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.)
• Knowledge of high-pressure plumbing
• Experience with Microsoft office
• Understanding of control systems
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong commitment to HSE culture and requirements
