Job summary

Raglan Mine seeks an Electrical Supervisor – Surface to oversee electricians and instrumentation technicians at the Raglan Mine site. You will lead daily activities, manage maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability of electrical systems across the surface and concentrator areas.

The role requires a DEC in electrical engineering technology or related field, a Class C license, and English proficiency, with a strong emphasis on supervision and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires supervisory experience and ability to manage electricians and I&C technicians.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, instrumentation, PLCs, VFDs, generators, and motors.
• Valid electricity license and driver’s license, with working English knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting to the General Foreman – Power Generation, you will supervise all electricians and instrumentation and control technicians on the surface and at the concentrator. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the electrical team and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance work and planned outages.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of electrical distribution networks, substations, and surface equipment.
• Prioritize work based on operational and production needs.
• Support employee skill development, training, and mentoring.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing equipment safety, performance, and reliability.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) in electrical engineering technology or industrial electronics, or any other diploma deemed relevant.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Have experience in the fields of electrical distribution, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (Modicon-Schneider), variable-frequency drives, power generators, and electric motors.
• Hold a certificate of qualification in electricity (Class C license) and a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of English.
