Job summary

Glencore’s Raglan Mine site in Northern Quebec seeks an Underground Mine Supervisor. This role reports to the Mine Captain, coordinating underground activities and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A rotating 14/14 schedule, housing, meals, benefits, and a pension plan accompany a competitive salary.

You will supervise 12–20 workers, plan weekly drills and production, lead meetings, inspect operations, and drive continuous improvements in methods and equipment.

Qualifications

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting to the mine captain, you will coordinate underground activities, ensuring that employees operate safely in compliance with environmental laws and standards. Your main tasks will be:

• Directly supervise between 12 and 20 production and development employees.
• Plan and organize employee work while adhering to weekly production schedules and drilling plans.
• Conduct scheduled inspections, investigate and analyze incidents, and submit recommendations.
• Organize and lead various meetings.
• Optimize and improve work methods, equipment, or infrastructure.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Hold a high school diploma.
• Have experience in underground mine supervision.
• Have completed modular training (FMTM) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 and hold a general explosives permit.
• Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety.
• Demonstrate leadership, influence, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
