Job summary

Battlefield Equipment Rentals, part of the Toromont Industries family, is hiring a Rental Coordinator for our Nepean, ON branch. You’ll be the face of the branch, handling inquiries, paperwork, and logistics to keep customers happy and equipment moving.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with Systematics is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction equipment and building products is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset are essential.
• Ability to work well within a team and be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Time-management skills and a proactive, self-starting approach are expected.
• Knowledge of CAT equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the branch, engaging with customers via phone, email, and in person.
• Coordinate rentals, deliveries, and returns by preparing paperwork and contracts and updating product records.
• Assist with loading/unloading customer pick-ups and keep shelves stocked.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive, efficient operation.
• Review invoices, verify pricing, and balance funds at day end.
• Open/close the branch when needed and ensure branch security.
• Monitor rental equipment and saleable goods to meet customer demand.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmentally responsible practices.

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 hourly (depending on experience)

As a Rental Coordinator, you’ll be a key team member, helping to keep our operations running smoothly and our clients coming back for more.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Be the face of our branch by engaging with customers through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions with a professional attitude.
• Coordinateequipment rentals, deliveries, and returns with precision and care by preparing paperwork and contracts for deliveries, updating internal product spreadsheets and any other product tracking systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading customer pick-ups while keeping our product shelves stocked and ready.
• Collaborate seamlessly with your colleagues to create a supportive and efficient work environment.
• Wrap up each day by checking invoices, ensuring pricing accuracy, and balancing funds.
• Act as a trusted team member by opening and closing the branch when needed.
• Keep a keen eye on our rental equipment and saleable goods, ensuring we always have what our customers need when they need it.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices, making sure everyone stays safe.

What We're Looking For
