Base pay range

CA$115,000.00/yr - CA$135,000.00/yr

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Manager for managing the development of renewable energy projects, particularly in Wind Energy, in collaboration with partners and consultants. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing wind project development, ensuring alignment with strategic energy needs and demand growth projections in Canada. Reporting to the Director, Energy Development – Canada, your responsibilities will include:

1. Development of wind projects:
   • Lead the development of large-scale wind projects, managing renewable energy partners through all phases, including site selection, permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement.
   • Ensure projects align with energy strategy, regional needs, and decarbonization goals.
   • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, providing technical oversight and decision-making to minimize risks.
   • Act as the main liaison with renewable energy partners to ensure timely milestone delivery and contractual compliance.
2. Development of hydroelectric power and other renewable energies:
   • Oversee hydroelectric projects in collaboration with Indigenous partners, managing external consultants and aligning projects with shared objectives.
   • Participate in feasibility studies, partnership planning, and financial modeling.
3. Collaboration:
   • Support strategic planning and investment approval processes.
   • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure project alignment with standards and best practices.
