Job summary

EA SPORTS UFC team in Vancouver area is seeking a Rendering Software Engineer to advance visuals, performance, and player experience across platforms. You will join a collaborative group of engineers, artists, and designers to deliver high-quality real-time rendering.

The role combines engine development, research into rendering techniques, and code optimization, with a hybrid work model (onsite several days per week) at EA's Burnaby studio, reporting to the Senior Software Engineer.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
  • 2+ years working with real-time rendering engines.
  • Experience with DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal, or similar APIs.
  • Experience with graphics debugging, profiling, optimization, multithreading, memory management, and PC or console development.
  • Experience developing or implementing real-time rendering techniques.
  • Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools to rapid prototype and critique AI-generated code.

On our UFC Rendering team, we build the technology behind immersive, high-quality visuals across multiple platforms. As a Rendering Software Engineer, you will join us in improving visual quality, performance, and player experience while partnering with Engineers, Artists, and Designers.

We work in a hybrid model, with three days per week onsite at our EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia. You will report to the Senior Software Engineer.

  • Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g. coding agents) to rapid prototype, accelerate execution and automate workflows, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code.

Compensation And Benefits

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES
  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
