Job summary

Arctic Kingdom in the Northwest Territories is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead on-site operations across Culinary, Hospitality, Guest Experience, and Facilities & Site Operations. You will work with peer department leads to drive SOPs, ensure quality, and maintain a seamless guest journey in a remote, off-grid lodge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing wilderness destination property or similarly isolated settings.
• Ability to build or enforce operational standards across multiple departments.
• Strong judgment and decision-making in remote environments.
• Experience coordinating cross-functionally with department leads without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and guest service instincts.
• Comfort living and working in a remote, off-grid wilderness setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures across lodge departments.
• Serve as the primary on-site decision-maker for day-to-day issues outside any single department.
• Coordinate across Culinary, Hospitality, Guest Experience, and Facilities & Site Operations.
• Identify, respond to, and escalate serious incidents to the GM/President.
• Support guest arrival readiness and overall guest experience.
• Monitor lodge operations and proactively flag risks.
• Foster a positive team culture in a remote living environment.
