Tailscale seeks a skilled Program Manager/TPM to own engineering, product, and design processes, focusing on operational health and continuous improvement. You’ll work asynchronously with highly technical teams, translate data into actionable insights, and drive just-right process changes that increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Program Manager or TPM coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a remote startup environment.
• Deep understanding of the technical engineering space and common workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the processes for bug tracking, incidents, reliability, and escalations and continuously improve them.
• Spot trends in operational health data and translate insights.
• Build dashboards and reports in Jira and Snowflake for visibility.
• Turn data into a clear story and implement process changes.
• Identify process gaps and craft just the right amount of process improvements.
• Support planning activities and project tracking across EPD.
• Help run status reviews, roadmap reviews, and priority reviews.
• Connect dots across systems, processes, and teams to reduce overlap or conflict.
• Jump in on initiatives needing support and drive them forward.
• Lead project retrospectives to learn what went well and what to adjust.
• Seek opportunities to simplify operating procedures for efficiency.
