Job summary

Airbyte is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to help customers build and troubleshoot integrations on our cloud and embedded platform. You will partner with Engineering and Product to resolve API, connector, and data pipeline issues, while guiding customers through OAuth and token authentication.

Location: Remote, Canada. Salary: CAD 89,000 – 105,000 base plus equity. You will triage problems, write docs, and contribute to product improvements using AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical support, data engineering, DevOps, QA, or a related role supporting developers or technical users.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, including OAuth, pagination, webhooks, rate limiting, and error handling.
• Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman or cURL.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data integration concepts including ELT/ETL workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to speed up troubleshooting or automate a workflow.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and a natural self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Be the person customers can count on, responding via email, tickets, and occasional video calls with clarity and care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming issues, meeting SLA targets while using AI tools to resolve faster.
• Dig into complex API, connector, and data pipeline issues and work with Engineering to drive real fixes.
• Document and reproduce customer-reported bugs with details for quick action.
• Support embedded platform customers through onboarding and troubleshooting, including OAuth flows and token configuration.
