Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of solar PV design experience.
• Proficiency with PVSyst, AutoCAD and Helioscope.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/SANS electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for solar PV projects, including layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and interconnection studies.
• Select components (panels, inverters, mounting) per project needs.
• Use AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope for modeling and design.
• Prepare design documents including schematics and BOM.
• Ensure designs meet electrical codes and interconnection requirements.
