Job summary

Jobgether, listed on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Software Developer in Test in Canada. You will design and implement automated test strategies across web apps, APIs, and cloud environments, combining test automation with hands-on development.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to testing standards, and work with engineers, product managers, and support teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Software Developer in Test, SDET, or similar role.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Cypress, Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Proficiency in writing test cases, automated scripts, frameworks, and test data.
• Experience designing, developing, and reporting load and performance tests.
• Experience testing APIs and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and QA best practices.
• Experience with Dash Duo test library and AI-related processes is a plus.
• Python and/or Go are assets.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and test suites using Cypress and Playwright.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases addressing functional, technical, performance, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve product quality through testing.
• Test products to identify, document, track, and resolve defects.
• Perform manual testing when appropriate to complement automation.
• Conduct load and performance testing and report results.
• Validate APIs and RESTful services.
• Contribute to testing strategy and QA process improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Block releases that do not meet quality standards.
