Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior SDET (Digital Banking) based in Canada. You will design and implement robust test automation frameworks, validate banking workflows, and ensure secure, scalable digital experiences.

In this role, you’ll work in Agile teams, contribute to CI/CD automation, and collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital banking solutions for Canadian clients, including experiences with MFA, Interac

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing or QA with at least 3 years of hands-on test automation development.
• Experience testing financial services, banking, or other transaction-intensive apps.
• Proficiency in Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Programming or scripting in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python.
• API testing experience with Postman, REST Assured, and REST APIs.
• SQL/database validation and data integrity testing.
• CI/CD familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong SDLC/Agile knowledge and risk-based testing approach.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with mobile testing on iOS/Android.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development QA is a plus.
• Experience supporting banking platform migrations and post-launch hypercare.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, and integration tests for web and mobile banking apps.
• Build reusable test automation frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Create test strategies, plans, scenarios, and traceability documentation.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
• Investigate defects, analyze logs, and work with dev teams to fix issues.
• Validate MFA, transfers, payments, Interac e-Transfer, and wallet features.
• Test core banking integrations, CRM, and payment services workflows.
• Support data migration testing, reconciliation, and regression testing.
• Participate in SIT, UAT, release readiness, and production validation.
• Collaborate with client teams to reflect real banking operations and needs.
• Contribute to Agile delivery, backlog grooming, and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate quality gates and AI-assisted QA practices into dev workflows.
• Support performance, security, and accessibility testing with specialists.
• Produce quality metrics and release-readiness recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing and improve automation reliability.
