Job summary

Aequilibrium Software Inc. is expanding its QA engineering capability in Canada, seeking Senior QA Automation Engineers/SDETs to design and maintain automated testing for digital banking platforms, core banking integrations, and CRM workflows.

The role involves hands-on testing across UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios, with a focus on secure, reliable production-ready banking applications and collaboration with client teams and delivery partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software testing experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on test automation development.
• Experience with financial services testing (banking/credit unions).
• Strong proficiency with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Programming or scripting in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python.
• Strong API testing skills with Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Experience testing REST APIs, authentication & system integrations.
• SQL/data validation & troubleshooting integration issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, and integration tests for web and mobile banking apps.
• Build reusable test automation frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, and traceability from requirements.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
• Investigate defects, analyze logs, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
• Improve test coverage, automation reliability, and quality reporting.
