Major Financial Institution seeks an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead complex financial systems implementations.

You will oversee core banking, trading platforms, or ERP finance projects, coordinating IT and business stakeholders across distributed teams.

Strong experience in Agile/Waterfall, regulatory compliance, and vendor management is required for success in this remote role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management with at least 5 years in financial systems implementation.
• Experience with core banking systems, trading platforms, ERP finance modules, or similar enterprise financial software.
• Strong understanding of financial services operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SARB).
• Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management; able to lead remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of financial systems implementation projects.
• Manage scope, objectives, budgets, and timelines aligned with business strategy.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation.
• Facilitate effective communication among IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.
• Oversee configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of financial software solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for optimal outcomes.
• Identify and resolve project issues, escalating when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance throughout the lifecycle.
