Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our fully remote security operations team. You will monitor security events, investigate threats, and refine detection rules to protect client infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity operations, experience with SIEMs (Splunk/ELK), EDR, and scripting for automation. This is a remote position offering flexible hours and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, or incident response.
  • Proven expertise in security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) to detect potential security incidents.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches, identifying root causes and recommending mitigation strategies.
