Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a SOC Analyst to join our managed security service and virtual executive consulting firm. The role focuses on initial triage, log and traffic analysis, and threat detection within a 7 AM–7 PM coverage window.

Responsibilities include interpreting logs, IPs, and traffic details, investigating indicators with the SIEM stack (Splunk is acceptable; current tools include SentinelOne and Stellar Cyber), and communicating with clients during incident

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' relevant experience; entry-level SOC background preferred.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of SOC workflows.
  • SIEM/log-analysis exposure, with Splunk acceptable; current tools include SentinelOne and Stellar Cyber.
  • Able to interpret logs, IP addresses, TCP/IP, threat activity, and source/destination traffic.
  • Firewall knowledge; Fortinet useful but not essential.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers and communicating clearly.
  • Willing to collaborate, follow processes, take initiative, and learn.
