Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to support our commercial contracting function and strategic initiatives. You will draft, negotiate, and advise on software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, AI offerings, and strategic partnerships while partnering with Sales, Product, Security, and Finance.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration to enable growth, manage legal risk, and streamline contracting processes, including AI-enabled contract tooling and governance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Eight or more years of experience in technology transactions, in-house or at a law firm.
• Extensive experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, data processing, and enterprise agreements.
• Strong understanding of technology, security, privacy, IP, and regulatory issues.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and related regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, and strategic negotiations for software, SaaS, cloud services, AI offerings, and partnerships.
• Provide strategic legal counsel and manage a high volume of contracts, from straightforward to complex.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel heard and deliver results.
• Suggest and implement process improvements, including standard forms and contract variations.
• Use AI legal tech tools effectively and evaluate which tools fit business needs.
• Lead pricing initiatives and governance projects in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
• Participate in internal approval workflows and prioritize contracts while addressing stakeholder questions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, MS Office, Salesforce, and Ironclad in daily work.
