Job summary

Bilinguallink is seeking a Senior Analyst, Middle Office to support and guide the Middle Office team under the Director. You will handle escalations from traders and sales, assist with trade support, P/L controls, margin calls, and allocations.

Key growth areas include automation projects, risk mitigation, and daily/monthly reconciliation tasks while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in middle or back office operations with an excellent understanding of fixed income & equity products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, an asset
• Ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on, multi-tasking and fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Ability to investigate and strong knowledge of problem solving
• Knowledge of trading & settlements systems including DSTS, Fidessa, Omgeo, Candeal, Arrow
• Strong quantitative skills and proficiency with Excel, VBA knowledge

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and resolve moderately complex trade issues requiring in-depth evaluation
• Lead projects and assist Manager with industry-related initiatives
• Assist management with system automation, efficiency enrichment, and risk mitigation projects
• Perform end-of-day checks to ensure daily work accuracy
• Monitor break resolution and month-end sign-off responsibilities for timeliness and accuracy
• Provide backup to reconcile and complete daily and monthly P/L reporting for institutional activity
• Produce reports for internal stakeholders and entities such as Bank of Canada and borrowers
• Manage firm’s internal securities inventory system (BondOne-DSTS, Fidessa etc.)
• Support documentation for existing customer accounts and coordinate opening of new accounts
• Assist team to resolve escalation settlement problems and respond to client requests
• Back up inter-dealer broker and client transaction confirmations and assist trade allocations

Senior Analyst, Middle Office

Senior Analyst, Middle Office. Under the supervision of the Director, Middle office, the selected candidate will provide support and guidance within Middle office team. The senior analyst will be a key resource for any escalation from any stakeholders (traders & sales team within the institutional divisions) as well as the other divisions as required. This role will assist in trade support, P/L control, margin calls, allocations.

Main Responsibilities

• Ã Review, analyze and resolve moderately complex trade issues that require in-depth evaluation.
• Ã Lead projects and assist Manager with industry related initiatives.
• Ã Assist management for system automation, efficiency enrichment, and risk mitigation projects.
• Ã Perform end of day checks to ensure accuracy of daily work.
• Ã Monitor and manage regular break resolution and month end signoff responsibilities, ensuring consistent timeliness and accuracy.
• Ã Provide backup to reconcile & complete the daily & monthly P&L reporting for the institutional activity
• Ã Provide a variety of reports, internally as well as for self-regulatory entities including Bank of Canada & various borrowers
• Ã Play an integral role in the management of the firmâs internal securities inventory management system (BondOne-DSTS, Fidessa etc.)
• Ã Help to ensure and support to maintain documentation for existing customer accounts and coordinate the opening of new customer accounts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ã 5 – 7 years of experience in middle or back office operations with an excellent understanding of fixed income & equity products;
