Job summary

Zenbooks is a fully remote Canadian accounting firm serving 300+ SMBs coast to coast with monthly recurring engagements.

We are seeking a highly organized Senior Accountant who mentors staff, manages client relationships, and grows toward an Accounting Manager role in a supportive, detail‑driven team.

Responsibilities include managing books, preparing reports, coordinating with client contacts, and ensuring timely delivery using Xero/QBO and Zenbooks SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of client-facing experience in public accounting.
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero and/or QBO.
• Must pass a criminal background check and/or education and employment verification.
• Working from home is a requirement with reliable high-speed internet.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting information systems and software for client organizations.
• Mentor staff accountants on technical issues and client relationships.
• Own complex bookkeeping and vController engagements.
• Prepare financial reports and budgets for clients.
• Ensure timely delivery and maintain client satisfaction.
