Think Accounting offers a fully remote Senior Accountant role open to candidates across Canada. You will work on full-cycle bookkeeping, GST/HST/PST filings, and month-end reporting for multiple clients, while leveraging cloud accounting tools such as Xero and QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in a public accounting firm in accounting/tax.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online, Dext, Hubdoc).
• Experience with financial statements preparation software (Caseware, Countable).
• CPA designation or working toward one.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Canadian tax rules.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, customer-centric with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Provide top-notch client support and respond to questions.
• Prepare and file GST/HST/PST returns.
• Deliver month-end reports as Controllership service.
• Prepare compilations and corporate tax returns.
• Provide tax planning scenarios for clients.
• Document SOPs for clients.
• Draft accounting/tax memos and guidance.
• Prepare forecasts and cash flow analyses for advisory services.
• Lead responses to CRA queries and registrations.
• Mentor junior staff and offshore team.
