FirstPrinciples is a remote-first research company accelerating AI for scientific discovery. We work with researchers and institutions across Canada, the US, the UK, and beyond to turn scientific questions into actionable product solutions.

This role leads the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close, engaging researchers and organizations, and driving adoption of our AI platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, technical environments and can translate complex research goals

Qualifications

• Ability to rapidly develop fluency in unfamiliar technical domains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Strong business judgment and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, discovery, demos, proposals and close.
• Run technically credible discovery conversations and product demos linking researchers’ goals to product use cases.
• Develop targeted account strategies and outreach based on understanding of organizations and their work.
• Build relationships and pipeline across research teams, labs, and research-intensive organizations.
• Help customers structure pilot plans and establish success criteria to enable adoption.
• Navigate multiple stakeholders across scientific, technical, procurement, and leadership functions.
• Collaborate with Research Partners throughout discovery, onboarding, and expansion.
• Provide market feedback to product, research, and engineering teams to inform roadmaps.
• Create scalable outreach, qualification, and forecasting processes to grow the business.
