Job summary

The Newly Institute is seeking Registered Psychologists or Associate Psychologists to join our Ontario clinical team as Independent Contractors. Flexible 1-4 days per week, remote work in Ontario. You will perform psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions in a fast- growing mental health network.

Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D. in Psychology with Ontario registration, three years’ experience, and familiarity with EMDR or ART.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Psychology and Ontario registration required.
• Minimum 3 years of mental health assessment/triage and treatment experience.
• EMDR and/or ART professional training certificates are assets.
• Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete Psychological Assessment screens.
• Perform advanced clinical services including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention.
• Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose mental disorders.
• Provide other services as reasonably required by the Company and mutually agreed upon.

By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies, our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access, rapid resolution, and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and chronic pain.

This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Psychologists or Associate Psychologists to join us as we grow our clinical team in Ontario.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

• Complete Psychological Assessment screens;
• Perform advanced clinical services; including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention;
• Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder;
• Provide such other services as may be reasonably required by the Company, and as mutually agreed upon

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment is required.
• Experience using evidence-based trauma therapy, specifically EMDR or ART is an asset.
• Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.
• Equivalencies of experience may be considered.

Education

• Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology and registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required.
• Professional training certificates in EMDR and/or ART are significant assets.

Background Check
