Job summary

SKIP is expanding the team behind our Restaurant tablet app (iOS & Android) used in live restaurants across Canada. As a React Native Developer, you’ll contribute across the full product lifecycle from design to release and production support, as part of a distributed, collaborative team.

Location: Remote Canada. You will build features, implement reusable components, and integrate with REST APIs while handling real-time data via WebSockets or Pusher.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience building React Native apps that have shipped to production.
• Experience configuring and managing releases (Fastlane, App Store / TestFlight, Google Play, Firebase App Distribution).
• Strong TypeScript skills with robust typing and Redux.
• Solid understanding of React, hooks, and performance optimizations.
• Experience writing automated tests with Jest and React Native Testing Library.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features for our mobile application using React Native and TypeScript.
• Design and implement reusable components and business logic.
• Integrate with REST APIs and handle real-time data (WebSockets, Pusher).
• Write and maintain unit and component tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library).
• Diagnose defects, analyze errors and crashes in Sentry.
• Contribute to release cycles, including OTA updates via CodePush.
