SKIP in Canada is seeking a React Native Developer to join a distributed team, shipping iOS and Android apps built with React Native and TypeScript. You’ll design components, implement real-time features, and ensure quality with tests and CI/CD practices.

Remote work from Canada is supported, with collaboration across engineering, QA and product partners. You’ll contribute across the full product lifecycle, from design to release and production support, while embracing an async-friendly,

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience building React Native apps in production.
• Experience configuring releases with Fastlane, App Store/TestFlight, Google Play, Firebase App Distribution.
• Strong TypeScript skills with strict mode, generics and robust typing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features for our mobile app using React Native and TypeScript.
• Design and implement reusable components and business logic.
• Integrate with REST APIs and handle real-time data (WebSockets, Pusher).
• Write and maintain unit and component tests (Jest, RN Testing Library).
• Diagnose and resolve defects using Sentry and error data.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain a clean codebase.
• Contribute to the OTA release cycle with CodePush.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product in a distributed setting.
