Job summary

Northbeam is hiring a remote Software Engineer, Python to join a fast-growing, remote-friendly team in Canada. The role balances backend engineering with frontend work, building scalable services and AI-powered workflows for marketers.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end features. The company offers a base salary range of $140,000–$155,000 USD, plus equity, healthcare, and a 401(k), with a flexible PTO policy and remote work stipend.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building backend services, APIs, and/or data processing systems in Python.
• Exposure to distributed systems or microservices, and curiosity about how larger architectures fit together.
• Experience working with product managers, designers, and data scientists, delivering production-ready code.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript; deep frontend specialization is not required.
• Strong coding fundamentals and problem-solving, with AI as an accelerator.
• Willingness to work across backend, frontend, pipelines, and infrastructure when needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our new incrementality product as it grows into a reliable experimentation platform.
• Help build near-real-time ingestion and processing capabilities beyond batch workflows.
• Build AI-powered workflows to evaluate performance and act on insights for marketers.
• Improve connection-state systems and extend the partner ecosystem across data ingestion and exports.
• Work on RBAC and other product areas as needed.
• Contribute to frontend work to deliver complete experiences.
