Job summary

Pinnacle Fund Services Ltd. is seeking a Fund Accountant to join our Private Equity Team in Toronto. You will support NAV production for private equity portfolios and work with Senior Fund Accountants and Management to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

The role offers growth opportunities in fund administration, exposure to closed-ended funds, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on professional development and client service.

Qualifications

• Prior fund accounting experience is desirable but not required.
• Understanding of closed-ended funds is desirable but not required.
• Accounting designation is desirable but not required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and constant change.
• Ability to allocate time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience with PFS-Paxus is desirable but not required.
• Ability to manage own time and workload effectively ensuring both internal and external deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist with NAV calculations and capital activity recording.
• Record cash activity and perform reconciliations.
• Price portfolios in line with fund documents.
• Ensure accruals for income, expenses, and fees.
• Prepare investor statements and contract notes.
• Support preparation of financial statements and year-end audits.
• Liaise with clients, auditors, andTax providers as required.
• Update Wrike daily to reflect status and deadlines.
• Assist in SOC audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Document procedures for funds.
