Job summary

Partner Company in Canada is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Front End Web UI Platform. You will define technical direction for a large-scale frontend platform used by millions of developers, while guiding cross-team initiatives and modernization efforts.

You will mentor engineers, design scalable patterns, and drive measurable improvements in performance, reliability, and developer velocity across a distributed organization.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven production-grade software delivery in JavaScript/TypeScript, with React or Angular.
• Deep expertise in frontend performance, accessibility, and web platform fundamentals.
• Experience leading cross-team frontend migrations and large-scale rollouts.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of the web UI platform across performance, accessibility, consistency, availability, and frontend infrastructure.
• Lead large, cross-team frontend initiatives and migrations, sequencing work to minimize disruption.
• Develop reusable frontend patterns, standards, tooling, and paved paths across engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with leadership to align technical priorities with business needs.
• Measure impact of platform initiatives on performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
