Job summary

the company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Canada to lead the Growth Platform and evolve its messaging, targeting, and tooling capabilities. You will partner with product engineers to translate opportunities into scalable platform systems and drive cross-functional initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, improve developer experience, and influence product strategy while delivering high-impact platform solutions across multiple product surfaces within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building high-scale platforms or reusable systems.
• Strong internal customer empathy and developer experience.
• Either strong backend or frontend expertise with modern stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of Growth Platform capabilities including messaging infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Partner with internal users to understand pain points and improve developer experience.
• Architect scalable systems to rapidly launch and scale growth initiatives.
• Build frameworks that reduce cost and complexity of launching new growth initiatives.
• Influence product and business strategy through technical insight and growth levers.
• Improve developer productivity and mentor engineers across teams.
• Operate as a cross-team technical leader aligning stakeholders and driving execution.
