Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with production systems.
• Expertise in at least one modern language from the listed stack.
• Strong systems design and cross‑team collaboration.
• Ability to lead architectural direction across a large frontend platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for GitHub's web UI platform across performance, accessibility, consistency, and availability.
• Drive large cross‑team initiatives and migrations, sequencing the work to avoid disruption.
• Establish patterns and paved paths for frontend development that scale across teams.
• Produce architecture and design proposals and build cross‑functional alignment.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing.
• Represent frontend priorities to leadership to secure support and resources.
