Job summary

NVA Canada is seeking a People Business Partner who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on HR expertise to support our veterinary operations across multiple provinces. You will partner with site leaders, collaborate with Learning Enablement, Payroll and People Operations, and ensure policies are practical, compliant and aligned with our culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience including employee relations, investigations, policy & procedure development, and workers' compensation.
• Experience with multi-provincial operations and in veterinary/human healthcare or retail sectors is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field; CHRP/CHRL is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic business partner to divisional/site leaders and provide proactive counsel and solutions.
• Collaborate with Learning Enablement, Payroll, People Operations and Recruitment to implement talent solutions.
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance on culture, engagement, performance and employment laws.
• Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues with proper documentation and resolutions.
• Build relationships with management and ensure policies are compliant and consistently applied.
