Job summary

Xpera Risk Mitigation & Investigation is recruiting an Investigator, Research & Analytics. Based in Canada, the role blends OSINT with traditional investigations to uncover insights for clients.

The position supports the OSINT Team Lead and offers remote or hybrid work options in the Pacific Time Zone region. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, experience in open-source research, and a proven ability to transform disparate data into clear findings.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred in criminology or related fields, or equivalent investigative experience.
• At least 2 years of professional research or investigative work.
• Experience in client-focused environments with confidentiality and service excellence.
• Willingness to complete required investigative training within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed background, asset, and corporate investigations using online resources.
• Perform OSINT research across websites and social media to document findings.
• Identify individuals across Canada using databases and inquiries.
• Assess potential IP concerns via online investigation and site attendance when needed.
• Document activity clearly and prepare professional client reports per standards.
• Ensure investigations comply with privacy laws and internal policies.
• Provide OSINT support to Surveillance and Risk Management teams.
