Job summary

Fortrea is seeking Ophthalmology Clinical Team Leads to join our FSP team. CTLs own the clinical delivery of trials and act as the Clinical Project Manager within the core project team.

This role requires 5+ years of clinical research/monitoring experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage budgets, timelines and vendor relationships. Remote work options available in US or Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• 5+ years in clinical research/monitoring with leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing external vendors (CROs, labs, call centers).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive clinical project performance toward contracted deliverables while meeting client needs.
• Lead development of clinical project strategy and budget management.
• Manage recruitment and retention, vendor delivery, and monitoring strategy.
• Forecast revenue and manage project costs.
• Provide leadership and build high performing teams.
• Ensure governance and escalation processes are followed.
• Mentor team members and support regulatory submissions as needed.
