Job summary

Everest Clinical Research is seeking a Director, Project Management to lead planning, communication, and execution of clinical development services in Toronto/Markham, Ontario, or remotely from a home-based office in Canada under our Work from Home policy.

The role manages PM staff and collaborates with senior leadership to align resources, budgets, and timelines across multiple trials while ensuring compliance with ICH, FDA, Health Canada, and EMA requirements.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in life sciences or health related field.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in clinical research and development in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• Proven ability to lead and develop others.
• Understanding of cross-functional processes including clinical ops, statistics, data management, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, and medical writing.
• Knowledge of ICH guidelines, FDA, Health Canada, and EMA regulations.
• Ability to define scopes, estimate budgets, plan resources, and manage timelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement new client service delivery within client portfolio across clinical development programs.
• Align efforts of directors and managers in project planning and resource assessment.
• Track project performance and conduct governance meetings with Everest and clients.
• Ensure projects are tracked and managed to quality, budget, and regulatory standards.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and management oversight of PM staff.
• Review PM applicants and assist in hiring decisions.
• Develop SOPs and governing documents for the PM department.
• Lead process improvements and create reusable PM templates and training materials.
• Identify risks and work with leadership to resolve planning/resource issues.
• Interact with clients for strategic governance, portfolio planning, and opportunities.
