Placements24 is seeking a Remote MEP Design Engineer for an innovative architectural and engineering firm focused on sustainable building design. You will design, develop, and coordinate MEP systems for global projects, with emphasis on HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, and water systems.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services degree, 6+ years in MEP design, and ability to work with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Pr.Eng or ECSA registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in MEP design engineering.
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency and green building practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for a variety of sustainable construction projects globally. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, clients, and contractors through virtual platforms.
• Conduct technical reviews and site assessments (where feasible remotely or via local representation).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and sustainable design strategies in MEP engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr.Eng) or eligibility for registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in MEP design engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable building projects.
• Proficiency in MEP design and modeling software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, IES VE, or similar).
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles, renewable energy integration, and green building practices.
