Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a 2nd Cook for a remote lodge near Timmins/Sudbury, ON, to cook per recipes and production guidelines while following food safety procedures.

You will set up stations, handle ingredients, operate ovens and grills, and maintain cleanliness and customer service.

Candidates need cook experience and the ability to obtain food safety certification; the role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a rotating 2 weeks on/off schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and safety standards.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensures security of company assets.
• This role may have physical demands and PPE may be required.
