Job summary

Dexterra Group is hiring a 2nd Cook for a remote camp in Northwestern Ontario. The role involves cooking duties in a camp setting, collaborating with the First Cook, and ensuring meals meet quality standards. The position operates on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation and includes travel to site.

Starting pay is CAD 20.91 per hour with meals and accommodations provided. Candidate must have valid photo ID and be able to pass a background check; experience in large-scale camp cooking is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale camp cooking, banquet halls, or hotels.
• Food Safe certification preferred.
• Willingness to work a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
• Must have government-issued photo ID for travel to site.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Ability to perform physical duties as listed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items in collaboration with the First Cook.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specs.
• Assist with baking and dessert stations.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
• Support in coordinating breakfast service and meal service.
