Oddball is hiring a Lead Front End Engineer to join the CMS BDAMAX team. This fully remote position focuses on building the frontend for a patient-facing healthcare application that serves millions.

You will lead the frontend, guide architecture, and drive quality with a test-first approach. The role requires 5+ years in frontend engineering with TypeScript and React, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years frontend engineering experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience leading frontend teams, architecture decisions, and mentoring.
• Strong commitment to accessibility WCAG and Section 508.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate a healthcare frontend using TS/React.
• Serve as technical anchor for frontend team; guide architecture and PR reviews.
• Drive test-first development for reliability of critical healthcare systems.
• Embed WCAG/508 accessibility into product core.
• Integrate AI coding tools to accelerate development workflows.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on REST API integration.
